Distinguished architect Richard Morris Hunt designed George Vanderbilt's breathtaking chateau. Vanderbilt commissioned this painting in 1895, the same year he opened his home to family and friends. This image captures the grandeur of Biltmore House and its architect. The original is currently on display in the Second Floor Living Hall at Biltmore House.
